Officials say both twisters struck Woodcock Township just a minute apart, packing winds up to ninety-three miles per hour. The E-F-One tornadoes uprooted large trees, snapped power poles, and heavily damaged multiple detached garages along Dibble Hill and Leimbach roads.In local education news, Crawford Central property owners are facing their largest tax spike in over twenty years. School board members unanimously voiced support for a six-point-three-one percent property tax increase to fund a seventy-one-million-dollar budget. A final vote is set for this Monday.And the skies over Meadville will fill with color starting tonight for the thirty-sixth annual Thurston Classic.
